About Pete & Bronwyn James
Australians Pete and Bronwyn moved to France after living in the United Arab Emirates for 12 years. They know firsthand what it is like to leave the long-term care and management of their home in Brittany in someone else’s hands. This gives them great insight into the needs and expectations of their clients.
Pete has worked in military aviation maintenance for more than 20 years and possesses excellent hands-on skills and problem-solving capabilities. His experience in supervising maintenance teams means that any projects your home requires will be in good hands.
Bronwyn has been in a trusted position as accountant, bookkeeper, and small business advisor for over 20 years. She brings with her a wealth of organisational, budgeting, communication, and administrative skills.
Working on renovating their Breton home and garden over the years has given them a passion for DIY and gardening, and a particular interest in composting and complete compost management. As experienced pool-owners, they will also be able to manage all your pool care requirements.

We bought and completed on a property in Brittany with a swimming pool and a detached annexe in May 2024. The intent was to let the main house as a holiday let, as we weren’t living in France but in the UK, we needed someone to look after and manage the whole project. We made an online enquiry to LBV and Pete and Bronwyn James replied, once we were back in the UK we had a FaceTime call with them, our main concern was the swimming pool as we had absolutely no knowledge of swimming pools, Pete and Bronwyn had vast knowledge on the subject and they actually saved the pool for us as it was dangerously high in chemicals it shouldn’t have been high in and was in fact unsafe to swim in! After several weeks of treatment, it was deemed safe and it’s all down to Pete and Bronwyn. They have guided us through everything to do with the holiday letting business and Bronwyn is an expert on French law and dos and do nots. Pete is very practical and can lay his hand to any task from refitting the pool pump to cutting the hedge, both Pete and Bronwyn have worked exceptionally hard on our property making it a little gem deep in the Brittany countryside for which we will be forever grateful. They are both very approachable and have great ideas and have introduced us to some very skilled artisans of which we have used.
We feel that we would not have succeeded with our property if it were not for Pete and Bronwyn, we definitely struck gold with that first FaceTime call.

Pete and Bronwyn have been looking after our house in Finistère for over 6 months now. Finding them was like a breath of fresh air for the Wife and I. we now know that our property is looked after while we are in the UK. When we come over the house is spotless, grass and hedges are well dressed and looking lovely for us to enjoy and not get into maintenance works when we arrive. They have also completed repair works and been on site to organise artisans when work is in progress.
