In his youth, Mat worked in the travel industry in France. This involved dealing with flooded tents, medical emergencies, accommodation preparation, but mostly being a source of local knowledge to make sure everyone had a great stay.
Mat is a fluent French speaker, and trustee of the York Alliance Française, he is also a keen gardener and general handyman, renovating previous homes and gardens.

Ian grew up in northern Australia, (so is adept at pool maintenance!) before relocating to the UK, and now France, so he knows what it’s like to set up life in a new country.
Ian rose to senior aircrew management in the airline industry, guiding training for emergency procedures and service standards. Leaving Ian with an excellent understanding of anticipating clients’ needs and remaining calm and making quick decisions in a crisis.

They take advantage of Brittany’s beautiful countryside and coast for walks, bike rides and getting out in their kayak. Plus they have local Breton friends nearby for local knowledge and to enjoy an apéro with!
