An outgoing, friendly couple with strong all-around French skills, Phil and Alison have worked in the IT industry for more than 30 years in a variety of capacities, most recently serving 20 years in project management managerial positions in charge of the successful completion of multimillion pound projects.

They have renovated two homes in the UK, a 1920s terrace and adding a loft conversion to a 2-bedroom bungalow. To feed Alison’s interest in design and attention to detail, they have rebuilt new walls, renovated bathrooms, kitchens, and windows in addition to landscaping gardens, paving, and a summer kitchen, doing the majority of the work themselves and using artisans where required.

Moving from the UK to Pay de la Loire, their own property has needed complete renovation enabling them to combine their DIY and renovation interests with their project management abilities. They have developed a strong, close network of local artisans through working on their French home.

Aside from enjoying time with their family, especially their grandchild Nico, Alisons’ passions outside of work include gardening and cooking (hopefully using produce from her garden), while Phil enjoys woodworking and crafting, especially with recycled wine barrels!

They will manage properties in the Maine-et-Loire department, offering minor repairs, practical assistance, or office support. They’ll do anything within reason. They’ll find a local artisan who satisfies the same high standards as theirs, if a requirement is outside of their scope of expertise or registration.
